Stanwood student accepted into People to People
Sabrina Hillbrand, a Stanwood Middle School student and the daughter of Vickie and Walter Hillbrand, has been accepted into the People to People World Leadership Forum. She will join a select group of students in Washington D.C., early 2010, to study leadership, and explore some of the United States' most prominent monuments and institutions. Full Story
Pearce runs for city council
After six years on the Stanwood Planning Commission, Tim Pearce is running for Stanwood City Council in the coming election. Pearce's family has lived and farmed in the Stanwood community for more than 100 years. His love for the community's rich heritage and character has guided him to serve. Full Story
Champion
Kaylene McDonald, of Camano Island, is awarded champion in obedience and reserve champion in showmanship at the Evergreen State Fair. Kaylene is a member of Dogg Dazed 4H Club in Stanwood. Her dog is Kya, a Pembroke Welsh corgi. Full Story
Women's health luncheon

Guitar clinic offered
