Excessive force lawsuit filed
The daughter of Niles Meservey, of Stanwood, filed a claim against the city of Everett last week related to her father's death. Meservey, 51, was shot by an Everett Police officer June 10. Full Story

Devastated by home fire, family discovers a portal of hope
When Mike and Chris Kelly returned to their Happy Hollow home south of Stanwood last Saturday afternoon, they found it engulfed in flames. City sewage lagoons to get cleaned
Stanwood's sewage ponds are about to get cleaned. The Stanwood City Council unanimously approved hiring Parker Ag Services LLC, of Colorado, to clean the city's sewage treatment storage ponds. The project will likely be completed in December. Full Story
