EDNA KATHERINE YOUNGREN

Edna Katherine (Voth Erickson) Youngren, 93, long time Stanwood resident, passed away in Mount Vernon Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009. She was born July 7, 1916 in Stanford, Montana to William and Katherine Voth.
She married Grant Milton Erickson on July 26, 1937 in Montana and they moved to Washington in the early 1940s for Grant's employment with the power company. Grant was killed in a work related accident Jan. 4, 1950.
On June 10, 1952 Edna married Al Youngren and they settled in Stanwood. Al passed away Oct. 16, 2003.
Edna is survived by her sons Daryl and wife, Rose Erickson, Mark Youngren and Jerry Youngren, her daughter Susan, and husband Cecil Evoy, her sister Ruby Youngren and her brother Ray (Rocky) Voth, 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Kern Funeral Home with a private family burial at Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery in Seattle. Arrangements in care of Kern Funeral Home.
