Collision leaves four injured, driver trapped

North County Regional Fire Authority responded to a two-car head-on collision in the 1600 block of the Stanwood/Bryant Road earlier this month.

The first unit on scene found a passenger car and pick-up truck off the road down an embankment. The driver was trapped in heavily damaged car and the pick-up truck also received moderate damage.

Crews extricated the passengers, transporting them to Everett and Arlington hospitals. Only one patient was seriously injured with three others sustaining minor injuries.

Responding to the crash were 12 firefighters, one engine, two medic units, two aid units and two command units from North County Regional Fire Authority and Arlington Fire Department.

The cause of the accident is in under investigation by the Snohomish County Sheriffs Office.
