Annabelle Haatveit, 85, of Stanwood, passed away on Sept. 5, 2009. She was born in Stanwood where she lived her entire life. Annabelle married Richard Haatveit Nov. 18, 1950. She loved fishing, camping, traveling in their motor home and bowling. Full Story
Lyle K. Brown
Lyle Brown was born in Pearl, Illinois on January 20, 1918. He enlisted in the Army Air Force dur- ing World War II and flew 102 combat missions in the Pacific area with the 310th fighter squadron. He received an honorable discharge in 1946. He continued his interest in an aviation career by joining the CAA/FAA as an air traffic controller. Full Story

Edna Katherine (Voth Erickson) Youngren, 93, long time Stanwood resident, passed away in Mount Vernon Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009. She was born July 7, 1916 in Stanford, Montana to William and Katherine Voth. She married Grant Milton Erickson on July 26, 1937 in Montana and they moved to Washington in the early 1940s for Grant's employment with the power company. Full Story
