Dear Editor: People say that drunks and druggies ride the bus. Aren't you glad the people in this predicament do ride Island Transit instead of driving? Remember that a lot of these people are trying to change their lives around and need Island Transit to make their court appearance or rehab. Full Story
Ted Kennedy was not perfect
Dear Editor: I'd like to reply to Gene Davidson's comments last week. I love his opinion about Ted Kennedy. You are so right, they treated him like a "God." He was not that perfect. I have always been bothered that the young Ted Kennedy left a party and drove a girlfriend over a bridge into the water. Full Story
President Obama did not provide required proof
Dear Editor: This individual (Obama) can never be president of the United States of America. He can't be elected legally since he has never proved qualification in accordance with the laws of the United States. Dear Editor: We support Ellen Hiatt Watson for Snohomish County Council, Position 1, for her commitment to maintain our rural quality of life while promoting a more balanced growth and economic development policy. Teachers should honor contracts
Dear Editor: Many years ago, I enlisted in the United States Navy. When I did, I was required to sign an agreement (contract) with the United States government. Subsequently, I have signed six other such contracts. Many times during those enlistments, I was very frustrated, angry or discouraged. Full Story
Destroying planet to save lives?
Dear Editor: In the last 28 years we have lived on Camano Island, and one of our family's memorable times was driving along SR 532 between 1-5 and Stanwood. Our children have witnessed what once were simply ditches along the highway transform into beautiful wetland areas containing cattails and other vegetation contributing to our wonderful clean space and air quality.
