PAMELA ANN SMITH

Sept. 27, 1954 - Aug. 14, 2009

Pamela Ann Smith, 54, of Stanwood, passed away Aug. 14, 2009 after a short battle with cancer. Pam was born on Sept. 27, 1954, in Bellevue. She graduated from Sammamish High School in 1972.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Jacqueline Langner.

Pam is survived by her three sons, Trevor Alan (Lindsey), Wyatt Adam and Zachary Owen, all of Stanwood; three siblings: Kenneth (Judy) Langner of Everett, Karen (Matt) Leyda of Lake Stevens, and Kimberly (Kevin) Anthony of Canton, Ga.; several nieces, nephews, as well as numerous loving friends.

In addition to raising her three boys, she also enjoyed dining out with friends and family. She especially enjoyed personalizing her home by painting and decorating the walls and furniture throughout.

Most of all Pam enjoyed giving back. She volunteered at both the NOAH Animal Shelter and Summit Assistance Dogs, in addition to donating to a variety of charities.

Pam was a very loving woman who would always put other people's needs ahead of her own. She was an amazing mom, sister, and friend. Because of her kind spirit and sense of humor, she has touched everyone around her in a very special way. She was taken away from us too soon and will continue to live in the hearts of those who loved her forever.

Per Pam's request there will be no service. A memorial for Pam will be held Sept. 12. Also, a special thanks to Providence Hospice of Snohomish County for the wonderful work they do.

A memorial fund has been established in Pam's memory for the Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation. Donations may be made online at www.lungcancerfoundation. org or by mail at 601 4th Street, Suite 215, San Francisco, Calif. 94107 (415-357-1278). Please indicate that your donation is in memory of Pamela Ann Smith.
