Camano gallery offers art feast

Dear Editor:

I am writing this letter as an act of kindness to my friends and neighbors. I just spent a delightful couple of hours at a new spot on Camano Island. It is easy to find, has beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces and welcomes all ages for the enjoyment of art and environment.

Matzke Fine Art Gallery is a relaxed outing with dynamic art in a variety of media, set in a spacious and refined rural setting.

I wandered the gallery and gift area, then walked the trails, and left feeling as if I had been served a full course of culture worthy of any highbrow metropolis, right here on the island, minutes from town.

Many of the artists featured are accomplished locals. How cool is that?

This is a regional treasure, right here in our backyard. The gallery is open 11 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on weekends. Don't miss this fine art feast.
