Fish more active after precipitation
Fishing in area 8.1 and 8.2 has been decent, though success has been spotty. With recent rains the fish have become more active and this has improved the catch rate. The state park has provided six-pound and larger cohos, pinks up to six pounds, and a few chinook over 20 pounds, but remember that chinook may not be retained. Full Story

Stanwood High School's athletic department presents Dr. Stan Herring, medical director of The Spine Center at Harborview Medical Center, in the performing arts center at Stanwood High School, 6:30 p.m. Wed., Aug. 26.
