Law student shares international law experience
This summer, Bridget Budbill, of Camano Island, discovered first-hand how tribunals and the International Criminal Court (ICC) work. Budbill, a second-year student at the University of Oregon School of Law and former NEWS reporter, attended the Summer Institute for Global Justice along with students from the Netherlands, China, France, Moldova, Romania and Kazakhstan. Grandparent scam calls on island residents
A new telephone scam has reared its ugly head in Island County. Island County Sheriff Office (ICSO) has received complaints of fraudulent callers who know certain intimate details about the person they are phoning.
