Vets' Scuttlebutt
By JERRY PURDUM AND DALE TYLER American Legion Post 207
This column is written by vets for vets — You get that?
I am not going to write your mom so she can explain again— she has too much to do.
If you want to check on veterans benefits and you do have plenty, get out your DD 214 and stop by the local American Legion Post in Stanwood, next to the Rite Aid, or the American Legion Post on Camano Island, next to the Island County Campus annex on E. Camano Drive, and pick up a brochure, "Island County Veterans Resources." That will get you started.
The VA program is full of opportunities.
The Island County Veterans Resources is run by vets for vets and that's no SOS.
Jerry and I want to make this a monthly experience so we encourage your questions. Just write to Vets' Scuttlebutt, in care of the Stanwood/Camano NEWS, P.O. Box 999, Stanwood, WA 98292.
Include your name, address and phone number and we will get back to you.
We look forward to serving you.
