A $3,484 grant was awarded by the Rotary District Simplified Grant program to the Stanwood Camano Rotary Club recently, to be used for the playground project at Freedom Park. Designers of the playground went to the folks who will be using it - the children. Students from K- 5 from Cedarhome, Stanwood and Utsalady Elementary schools talked to designers last spring, who listened and drew up a design using the kids' suggestions. See iheartparks. org for more info on the playground.
