Mustangs


The Marysville Mustangs won the first annual Coal Bowl Baseball Tournament July 25 and 26 in Cle Elum. Three Camano Island boys, Riley Kluin, Wyatt Jeans and Jayson Withers, play on the team. In five games, they outscored their opponents by 52 runs and won the championship game against Auburn 12-0 in four innings. In pool play they lost their first game to Auburn 10- 7, but then went on to beat Maple Valley 31-0 in three and a half innings. In tournament play they went undefeated, beating Everett (8-6), Upper Kittitas (13-3) and Auburn (12-0).
