Western Washington University's Western Kids Camp is for students entering grades K-6 and offers theme-inspired sessions covering nature, science, culture study and the arts using a combination of academic enrichment and recreation. Campers are divided into groups according to age and use college classrooms, labs, equipment and the Wade King Student Recreation Center for their activities.
During the July 27- Aug. 14 sessions of Western Kids Camp, a group of South Korean elementary students will also be attending. Students entering grades 4, 5 or 6 who have registered for Western Kids Camp can choose an optional free field trip on the following Wednesdays with the South Korean students: July 29, Birch Bay Water Slides; Aug. 5, Woodland Park Zoo; Aug.12, American Museum of Radio & Electricity and Padilla Bay Interpretive Center.
