Driver narrowly misses skater

Stanwood Police responded to the following calls July 17 - 24:

• On July 17, a 19-yearold Stanwood man drove onto the skate deck in the 9600 block of 276th Street NW where some skaters were riding their skateboards. He narrowly missed one of the skaters. He was referred for reckless driving and criminal trespass.

• Two teenaged boys were caught July 17 in the 26800 block of 88th Avenue NW and were referred for theft in the third degree for shoplifting and for possession of alcohol.

• On July 18, two vehicles collided on SR 532 near Pioneer Highway when one of the drivers was looking at his GPS and didn't notice traffic had stopped ahead of him.

• On the same day, another two vehicles collided in the 10200 block of SR 532 when one driver took his foot off of his brake and rolled into the vehicle that was stopped ahead of him.

• Two days later, on July 20, another two vehicles collided in the 7100 block of SR 532 because a driver didn't notice that traffic had stopped in front of him.

• Two bikes were reported stolen on July 18, from the 8400 block of Hennings Drive.

• On July 18, a 32-yearold Camano Island man was arrested on a warrant in the 9200 block of SR 532.

• On July 18, a vehicle parked in the 27000 block of 92nd Avenue NW was damaged by a hit and run driver.

• On July 19, a 27-yearold Stanwood man was

referred for domestic violence after his girlfriend reported an assault in the 10000 block of 271st Street NW; police were unable to locate him.

• An investigation continues after a business in the 9700 block of 271st street NW reported receiving a bad check on July 20.

• A vehicle window was smashed July 22 in the 9200 block of 271st St NW and a purse was stolen.

• On July 22, an animal club reported a possible embezzlement. It is being investigated.

•On July 22, a 51-yearold Burlington man who was driving under the influence caused a collision in the 10200 block of SR 532.

• Police were called July 23 when a boyfriend and girlfriend were involved in an altercation in the 8300 block of 272nd Street NW.

• A cell phone was stolen July 23 from a business in the 9200 block of SR 532.

• On July 23, a resident reported his pistol missing from his truck. He did not know when it might have been taken.

• Equipment was stolen July 24 from a business in the 8800 block of 272nd Place NW.
