Skagit Hospice offers grief support
Skagit Hospice Services offers informal discussion groups with sharing about the impact of loss and grief. The support groups are free and open to anyone in the community who is coping with the death of a loved one. Groups are ongoing and welcome new participants.
Pre-registration is required only for Loss of a Child and groups for young adults — phone 360-814- 5569.
• In Anacortes, grief support groups are offered on the second and fourth Mondays, 12 - 1:30 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1300 9th St. (entery on the alley)
• In Mount Vernon, on first and third Tuesdays 12:30 - 2 p.m. at Skagit Hospice, 819 S. 13th St.
• Oak Harbor, on first Tuesday each month, 1- 2:30 p.m. at the Senior Center, 51 SE Jerome St.
• Sedro-Woolley, on first and third Thursdays, 5:30 - 7 p.m at Senior Center, 715 Pacific St.
• Loss of a Child support is offered the second and fourth Tuesdays 5:30 - 7 p.m. at Skagit Hospice, 819 S. 13th St., Mount Vernon
• Beginning Sept. 1, a young adult support group for people aged 18 to mid- 20s who have lost a loved one will be offered from 5:30 - 7 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, at Skagit Hospice, 819 S. 13th St., Mount Vernon. Phone 360-814- 5569 for information or to sign up.
