A new citizen
 A Camano resident since 2006, Karin Rainier became a U.S. citizen on July 4 at a ceremony at Seattle Center when she was one of 508 who took the oath. For the ceremony, Karin wore this traditional Swedish costume of county Dalarna, in the Rattvik area in Sweden, north of Stockholm. It is her mother's costume, made in 1930. Karin came to Iowa in 1998, to Washington state in 1999. |
