Coastal Community Bank employees recently selected nine local nonprofit organizations to receive grant checks totaling $10,000.
Among them was Senior Services of Snohomish County, of which STANWOOD COMMUNITY AND SENIOR CENTER is a part.
The Coastal Community Bank Employee Giving Fund is comprised of individual contributions from 100 percent of the bank's employees and awards grants three times each year to organizations that do work in the communities served by the bank.

JOHN MORGAN BRYANT of Stanwood, has been awarded a scholarship from the University Of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho.
More than 6,000 students have been awarded a combined $22 million in scholarship support from the University of Idaho for the 2009-10 academic year.
