Retiring teacher offers thanks
Dear Editor: From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank everyone responsible for my farewell party at Stanwood High School a couple of weeks ago. I also give my special thanks to each and every person who attended. It was a very beautiful, yet humbling evening. I never would have dreamed that so many people would come and shared all the heartwarming memories. Full Story
Man has diverged from God's path
Dear Editor: A major problem that our current government leadership and their supporters have is that they do not understand the nature of man. God says that the heart of man is deceitfully wicked, who can know it (Jeremiah 17:9)? Full Story

Time has come for admitting the failure of a 40-year "war on drugs" that has been a money pit since inception. It has accomplished nothing but more crime and corruption. Full Story
Cashing in on Olympic gold
Dear Editor: Stanwood and Camano are overflowing with talented people in addition to the overwhelming natural beauty. For 18 years, I have struggled with ideas as how to attract not only visitors, but also residents to help Stanwood flourish. Trainlike autos drive straight by heading east and west. Full Story
