RONALD B. ANDERSEN

Ronald B. Andersen passed away after a long illness on June 25, 2009.

Ron was born Oct. 5, 1938 in Los Angeles to Hans Peter Andersen, who immigrated from Denmark, and his mother, Mary Stagg. Ron attended North High School in Torrance, CA, and at the age of 18, he signed with the Boston Red Socks. He was later traded to the San Francisco Giants. He was a tall drink of water at 6'5½" and an outstanding pitcher.

Ron is survived by his wife, Dr. Barbara Andersen; children, Erik Hans Andersen, Dana Andersen Babik, Tish Marie Paolino, Kris Anthony Paolino; and his seven grandchildren, Katie, Jake, Megan, Kaylee, Kade, Abilgail and Bret. He also leaves behind the many children and friends who knew him as "Mr. Andersen" from his 25 years at the Stanwood-Camano School District.

He was known by all of us as a gentle soul, who loved his family, children, having fun and sports. He will be deeply missed.

Please join us for a memorial celebration, which will be held in the Sundin Room at the Camano Senior and Community Center Sun., July 12 at 3 p.m.
