MEDITATION

I believe the Bible is inspired by God. Only God can foretell what will happen in the future.

Jesus said, "When you see that the branches of the (fig tree) are tender and put forth leaves, you know that summer is near. (Matthew 24:32)." We know that Jesus used the fig tree as a symbol of the nation of Israel. The restoration of Israel as a nation in 1947 corresponds to the budding of the fig tree.

From this time forward God's time clock has been ticking toward midnight. Note the happenings in the Middle East, we are watching unfold before our eyes that are predicted in the Bible.

In Luke 21:28, Jesus is quoted as saying, "When you see these things coming to pass, then look up, lift up your heads; for your salvation draws near." Read the chapter to see the events predicted.

Some of the world leaders are either ignorant or choose to ignore these predictions. They will either wittingly or unwittingly, have a part in bringing these events to pass.

So startling are world events, and so rapidly are they coming to pass, that it should shock us awake and make us want to be sure that we are ready to meet Jesus when He comes soon.
