MARION H. ALLEN
Marion Harland Allen (Al), of Stanwood, passed away with quiet dignity May 23, 2009. Much as he did everything in his life, it was on his own terms and in his own time. Al was born March 24, 1916 in Casey, IA. At 17, he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and when old enough joined the Works Progress Administration (WPA) like his father. Full Story

Doris (Beryl) Rich Pearson passed away June 18, 2009, with her daughter, Beryl Spoelstra (John) of Wenatchee and son, William Pearson (Kathy) of Lynnwood by her side. She was 97 years old. Marlene Elizabeth (Tengelin) Smoots, 65, of Pleasant Ridge, passed away Thurs., June 18, 2009, at Josephine care facility in Stanwood, with her husband and family at her bedside. Marlene was born Oct. 5, 1943, in Everett, WA, the daughter of Axel and Astrid Tengelin of Camano Island. She grew up on the Tengelin farm with her brother, John, and sister, Nancy. Full Story
