Volunteers of the year

Volunteers at the Camano Senior and Community Center, and at the Second Chance Thrift Shop were honored at the annual appreciation luncheon May 6, when over 125 attended. Merrill Gardens sponsored a Mexican buffet lunch and entertainment was provided by Voices of the Village. Volunteer of the Year for the center award was presented to Liz Tarbet, and the Second Chance Thrift Shop award went to Marilyn Grosjean. "These ladies have been so very dedicated to helping the community," said a spokeswoman. "Thanks to all volunteers."
