Stanwood Senior Center offers classes, trips and more

Look for community focus on page 25 as well as AAU and Little League sports.

Stanwood Senior Center has activities, trips, community classes, wellness programs, nutritious meals, thrift store and more. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday - Friday; thrift store, Mon. - Sat., 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The center is located at 7430 276th St. NW, Stanwood.

Camlann Medieval Village Sun., June 14; $30 per person.

Bellingham History Sunset Cruise, Thurs., July 9; $53 per person.

Fun day in Seattle, Tues., July 7; $31 per person.

Diablo Dam Tour, Mon., July 20; $78 per person.

NW Trek, Sat., Sept. 12; $34 per person.

Autumn Leaf Festival in Leavenworth (overnight stay), Sat., Sept. 26 (call for details).

Programs

Senior nutrition: Hot meals Mon. through Fri. at noon.

Wellness tea: Thurs., June 13, 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.; massage therapist Jean Schleiger Tuesdays, by appointment.

Support groups

Diabetic meets third Wednesdays, 2:30 p.m. Heart meets third Tuesday, 10 a.m.

Senior to Senior discussion group: second and fourth Wed., 10 a.m.

Men's discussion group: every Wednesday, 10 a.m.

Foot care clinic: third Wednesday. For reservations, call Shirley Ludwick (629- 5360).

Fitness

Yoga: Tues., 9 a.m.

Assisted lifetime fitness: Mon., Wed. and Fri., 9:30 a.m.

Lifetime fitness class: Mon., Wed. and Fri., 10:45 a.m.

Activities

Bridge: Fri., 12:30 p.m., call Theresa Drinkwine (387- 7773).

Pinochle: Tues. and Fri., 1 p.m.

Line dancing: Mon., noon.
