Semi-finalists for planning director chosen

The Board of Island County Commissioners and Island County Human Resources have narrowed down the county's search for a new planning director to six candidates.

Those six will be invited to travel to Coupeville from around the country for interviews before a panel June 18. Panelists will include Commissioner Helen Price Johnson, Commissioner Angie Homola, Commissioner John Dean, Public Works Director Bill Oakes, interim Planning Director Keith Higman, and Prosecuting Attorney Greg Banks.
