WALTER O. NIELSON
Walter Orin Nielson, 78, of Stanwood, quietly went home to be with our Lord and Savior Sun., May 24, 2009. He was born to Carl and Grace Nielson on his sister's second birthday and was named after his uncle. Walt grew up in the Stanwood area and graduated from Stanwood High School in 1949. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served his country during the Korean War. Full Story

John W. Kendall, 81, of Camano Island, died May 15, 2009. He was born Feb. 12, 1928 in Los Angeles, CA. John was an electrical maintenance supervisor for Kaiser Aluminum in Spokane for 17 years and a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Full Story
INGA L. HAMMER
Inga Langland Hammer passed away May 19, 2009 surrounded by her family. Inga was born Sept. 1, 1922 to Lars and Karina Langland, Norwegian immigrants, who became pillars in the Stanwood community. She married the love of her life, Alton Hammer on May 6, 1944, and together they had five children, whom they adored. Full Story
