Schmidt advances to state for long jump title
The Spartans' Kale Schmidt won a district long jump title with his leap of 21 feet, 9.5 inches in the early stages of the Class 4A District track and field championships at Shoreline Stadium last Wednesday. That victory entitles him a berth in the state championships this coming Fri. and Sat., May 29-30 at Mt. Tahoma High School in Tacoma. Full Story
Hershey meet May 30
The Hershey Youth District Track and Field Meet will be held Sat., May 30, at Burlington Edison High School beginning with sign-ups at 9 a.m. for all athletes born between 1995-2000. For the meet, both a $5 registration fee and a birth certificate will both required. Full Story
