Olson was the recorder for the A.O.U.W. that met twice a month in Thompson's hall. 90 YEARS AGO (1919) Andrew "Bud" Lawson celebrated his first birthday, having been born here in 1918. Stanwood Elementary students Destiny Redform and Chad Beidas were named students of the month for June by the Stanwood-Camano Rotary Club. Redform is a fourth-grader and is involved in athletics, school plays, soccer, dance, 4-wheelers and animals. Full Story

Lisa Marie
Lisa Marie is a very affectionate, 9-year-old Russian blue mix. At some point she suffered an injury to her back, which makes her walk a little funny, but she gets around just fine. Full Story

Life Goes On
I love rituals, especially rituals that depend on the calendar. Of course, that includes all the things we do in anticipation of and during holidays, but I also like those that are less formal and unique to families. In our family, always around Memorial Day, we make a raft that we anchor out in front of our house for the summer. Full Story
