The Stanwood Camano Community Resource Center announced the winners of the 11th Annual Youth Art Festival poster contest.

"It was a tough decision for our volunteers and staff to decide on just the top three winners this year, as we had so many beautiful entries," said Christie Connors, executive director.

First place prize of $100 goes to Caroline Hankins, 12th-grader at Stanwood High School. Her entry, a graphic arts creation, was used to advertise the Youth Arts Festival.

Second place prize of $50 goes to Christine Callies, eighth-grader at Saratoga School, for her colored pencil design. Kindra Johnson and Kyra Kantola, SHS students, won third place, $25, for a collaborative piece.

The Youth Arts Festival took place May 16 and was sponsored by the Stanwood Camano Community Resource Center.
