Donations down at shelter
Monthly expenses are more than revenue in Camano Animal Shelter Association's (CASA) pocket book. However, CASA's budget situation isn't as serious as it was in March of last year, said Martha Huyler, CASA board treasurer. Sno-Isle faces cuts or levy increase
Sno-Isle Libraries is asking for community input on a difficult decision. The library system will have a predicted deficit of about $2.5 million in 2010. Sno-Isle can either make cuts, or ask voters to approve a levy increase, said Mary Kelly, community relations and marketing director. Currently, the board of trustees is examining options. Full Story
