LEONA MAGNER

After a few months stay at Josephine care facility, Leona Magner passed away Thurs. night, April 30, 2009.

She is lovingly remembered and missed by her husband, Clifford; her children, Linda (and Art) Willard, Patty (and David) Paul, Donna (and Rafael) Stone, and Steve (and Kris) Magner; as well as her 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Leona always made people feel welcome, and had a great sense of humor. She was a true Mariner, Sea Hawk, Husky and Cougar fan, and a pioneer in scuba diving and waterskiing. She loved to accompany Cliff on his hunting and fishing trips, enjoying all the beauty (and bounty) of nature. She passed onto her children a passion for holiday decorating and celebrating loved ones.

She gave many years of service to the Shoreline schools as PTA president, and also served her church women's groups. All her family have been the lucky recipients of her beautifully crafted ornamental eggs. Each egg contains an intricately embellished photo of a family member, and is a treasured work of art.

We remember Leona as a beautiful woman of emotional strength and courage, meeting life's great hardships with resilience and grace. She was much loved.
