Dear Editor: Let me try to clarify my letter (4/14/09) to the editor to Miss Susan Campbell (4/21/09). My letter did not mention anything about "community." My letter was about a sign in the city limits and why the people who live on Camano Island should quit complaining about what the city of Stanwood does. Full Story

No teeth in the rebate bill
Dear Editor: Well, a rebate bill was passed in Olympia this session, and it is another toothless tiger piece of legislation. The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) already covers this rebate issue. And does it do anything to help you get your rebates? No. SB 5978 was a waste of time in Olympia, time better spent on more important legislation. Full Story

Dear Editor: I was disturbed about the tone in the writing from the guest editorial regarding Four Springs. I was a longtime resident of Camano Island, but I am currently out of state due to a temporary military move. I do, however, continue to keep up to date with the news and happenings on the island, and I fear it's becoming a place of politics and platforms. Full Story
